I'm New
no problem & Welcome
Emmaus is a place where people will come to know your name. You'll be greeted warmly by ushers and by other parishioners. Whether you're an Anglican from childhood, come from another Christian background, or this whole thing is new, you'll be welcomed as if you were an angel in disguise.
You don't have to be a sinner to attend our church, but it helps!

What To Expect
A typical service will last about 80 minutes. Families usually attend the 10:30 service, sitting together for the opening songs and prayers. Kids age 3-9 leave the sanctuary or nave for Children's Church during the Liturgy of the Word (Scripture reading and preaching), and rejoin their family for the Liturgy of the Table, (Holy Communion.) Communion is open for anyone who is a baptized Christian. If you're not baptized, we'll treat you as an honored guest and pray baptism is in your near future. We worship in the Anglican tradition, using the 2019 Book of Common Prayer of the Anglican Church in North America. The music is a rich blend of really old (chant), old (hymns), and new. The great thing about traditional worship is, everything means something. The challenge is, if you're new, everything means something! We love this old way and are eager to share it. When it comes to dress - we aren't casual, but we aren't stuffy either!
